Makeovers & More

First, let me thank everyone for all your well wishes. I ended up having to go to the Doctor and turns out I had a really nasty sinus and throat infection. I am still not back to normal (whatever that is) but I am feeling much better.

Remember this purchase...
Here it is now...
I got a little can of "greyblueish" paint off the "opps" rack at Lowes and decided that my pie safe needed a face lift.
Before...And now....
A while back Char posted a tutorial on these George and Abe prints.........I finally got around to doing it....I really love them and now Joey wants a set for his office. Thanks Char!

Last weekend we got privacy fence put up across the back of our property and I got it painted this week. I can't wait to get the rest up....I love fences,it is kinda like framing a picture. Saturday we are gonna put doors on the barn and whatever else we can check off the list!

I want to share another great blog with you....a fellow NC girl! Flowergardengirl Look back at her older post....it is full of wonderful historical info and pics about our great state. Her writings are as lovely as her pictures....trust me... pack a lunch, you will be there a while!
Have a Great Friday!!!

  2. Hey Girlie,
Glad you're on the mend! I had the 'plague' in May, and really wasn't sure I was going to make it! I finally gave in, and got some antibiotics, and am just now, not coughing so much... yuk!
I live in a 55 ranch, and we added on a few years ago, a house is only a box, make it what you want. People can not get over how my house looks inside, it's a 1955 on the exterior, and an 1875, inside! Have fun!

  15. Love the pie safe in blue and the "finished project". The Lincoln and Washington prints are such a great idea - they would look perfect in a formal office (or a patriotic-themed room).

  18. Wow! I can't thank you enough and so nice to have your friends visit my blog. I've been gone all week. Wonderful to return and see you've linked to me.

I love your blog and decorating ideas. First time I came, I spent forever looking over every square inch. Good blogs always have the best blogroll and yours is fabulous.

I was at Myrtle Beach soaking in the sand and sun but have to admit that I missed blogging. Glad to be home and back to my version of primitive/craftsman/cottage/early marriage/garage sale!

Your finds and refurbishings are grand. You've inspired me to get some things done that I've been putting off. I've got stuff in the attic just waiting for ideas and you've nudged me to get on the ball.

Thanks again for the link and friendship.
