I told my husband all I wanted for mothers day was a half whiskey barrel for my pond.....I am such a simple girl! (Being the sweetie of a husband he is , he went out of his way to make sure I got what I wanted!) See I had one but it fell apart....and if I had known how hard it was gonna be to find a new one I would have tried to put it back together! Anyway, we found one....so I put my waterfall liner in and added it to my water bed pond.

I got this idea from
Cindees Garden last year.
I also added this .....

I just love the sound of water...and you can hear it all thru my backyard.

My goldfish love to play in the running water.......

No, No, No.......this is not a doggie watering hole....

Don't give me the cute faces....

All of pets are rescues. Nellie the basset hound was living at a kennel, Nigel the black lab, showed up at our house looking like a bag of bones and ....

Max...we adopted from the SPCA. Needless to say he is much happier now. They get along great and are very entertaining!

In the words of my 4 year old neice neice Harley "dem is bessst friends"!
Have a wonderful weekend! Here are a few more images from my yard....

I love water gardens! Never seen one in a bed. This is just so neat. Maybe I need a bed with my pond. Hubby''s lab likes water.
ReplyDeleteWhen we remodeled our bathroom a couple of years ago, I wanted to put the toilet out in the yard and plant something in it. Maybe some English ivy and lovely pink impatiens. I figured it had great drainage. But I was outvoted :>(
ReplyDeleteYour garden is such an inspiration ...maybe I can try something less controversial next time!
Love it! It looks beautiful! Love the old chair as well and the tub with your tomatoes and herbs!
ReplyDeleteThat is wonderful! I especially love your Basset's ears! You may have to hold them up for him or the goldfish may nibble them when he gets a drink!
ReplyDeleteMy husband would love this garden! We have some of the same ideas in his garden, especially the old rocker!
I have to remember to show your pictures to him!

ReplyDeleteLove your "flower bed". We had one years ago. We were out riding one day and passed this pretty iron bed sitting beside the road. I had my husband turn around and get the bed. Each year I would design the flowers like a bedspread.
