Pumpkin Makeover

Ok, you remember the pumpkin I got yesterday from the thrift store yesterday....kinda cheesey right?

Well, I wanted to grunge it up...so I heated up the beeswax that stays in my crockpot. As with most things I do ...I really don't know what I am gonna do I just do it! So I dipped the pumpkin in the wax...and quickly sprinkled cinnamon on it and rubbed and rubbed and dipped and rubbed some more.

I rubbed my fingers down the groves in the pumpkin so the pumpkin would keep it's shape. The rubbing warms the wax,so you can shape it.
When I was happy with the look, I added the flicker tealight that I had already dipped and grubbed. And....Here it is!

  2. I love what you did with this candle. I have some older fall candles I was going to throw away and I am going to do what you did. I just love how it looks. I bought some spring pips today at Joann's for 70% off and I spray painted them rust. I also LOVE your arrangement you did with the flour sifter. That is the CUTEST thing ever!!!!!
