Beth,
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear that you are having toubles with your new sewing/embroidery machine. I wished that we did live need one another and I would gladly come over to help you.
No, I did not take classes when I got my first embroidery machine. They did offer free classes but I didn't take them because I had work in a quilt store 2 years before I purchased mine...and we sold sewing/embroidery machines so I knew something about them. However, I didn't purchase it from where I used to work because we had moved away, but the store I got it from said that I could come in at any time that I needed help. I have gone in several times over the years asking for help with the software programs.
Are you having problems with the needles breaking when just using the embroidery part of the machine or also on normal sewing? If the timing of the machine is off, it can cause a needle to break and if something is set up wrong with the embroidery unit, it might cause a needle to break...But without seeing your machine, I'm not sure what is causing you this problem.
There are a couple of things that you can do...see if there is a Singer dealer near you and check if they can take a look at your machine. They might even have classes you can take, but since you didn't purchase it from them..it might cost to take classes. The other thing I thought of was...I know our JoAnn's store sells this machine as I saw it in their ad a week or so ago. You might want to see if any of the ladies that work at a JoAnn's store near you owns this same machine and could maybe help you out.
Hope this is helpful to you. I'm just a click away if you need me.
Keep me posted.
Cindy
