Take it off Tuesday
Well...not taking much off today! I lost one pound! I was really upset at first...because I felt like I had lost more. So I went into the meeting, and I am sure it showed on my face (my lips were pooched out)I am sure! Anyway Our leader is talking about how you will have slow weeks and she said to think of it like this......you have alot of birds and you are tyring to get them back in their cage, if you try to catch them all at once, you won't be able to do it. But if you get one, put it in (shut the door) then get another and so on...you will be able to get all the birds back in the cage!
Okay..I get it...patience.
My birds are probably coo coo birds!
Anyway I was putting up the groceries ...and I saw this pack of ham...1 pound...okay that is a lot of meat. So I feel better now, at least I am moving in the right direction.
I had a big package on my porch when I got home today....
This is what is in the box...ProForm Momentum Elliptical.
Now I must admit... this is not my first piece of exercise equipment, I have had many, many things that eventually made there way to the yard sale.
But my husband and I both like this...and it works everything! HSN had free shipping and I love the flex pay....check it out here, watch the video to see how it works.
So if you smell something burning ....it is ....FAT!!!
Cause you can bet your booty, I am gonna get to my pot of gold!!!

ReplyDeleteYou made me laugh so hard with your post today!
One pound is awesome! You should not be upset at all...I am proud of you!!
I will record your weight on my chart and post it tomorrow!
I am so happy for you! Yahoo!
You go girl--one pound lost is better than one pound gained:)!! have a great day. Julie
ReplyDeleteHey girl, a penny saved is a penny earned... or rather a pound lost is a little more wiggle room in the jeans! (And you can use that penny towards NEW jeans!) I know, I know... bad comparison! I'm a little off today! What can I say, I'm sick!
ReplyDeleteHave a great rest of the week!!
Kimberly
The ham is a good comparison. But compare it to a pound of butter, that will make you feel better, because butter is mostly fat. Keep your chin up.
ReplyDeleteThat's so funny, Beth, but exactly what I needed! This week that's exactly what I've lost and I was really disappointed! It's slow going for me. Why is it the men can shed it so much more quickly?

You are so inspirational! I know you are gonna reach your pot of gold and when you do - LOOK OUT GIRL! I'll be cheering for you the whole way!

Hey Beth -- congrats on the pound OFF -- it's going in the right direction! I chuckled at the ham - yep, one pound is alot! Those meetings really help... I really learned so much about my dumb eating habits from the group and support. Keep going!!! :>)
ReplyDeleteCongrats Beth!! One pound is one pound less than you were!!!! I stayed even. Keep up the great work!!

Beth you should be very proud of yourself. A one pound loss is very good. Best of luck to you as you continue your weight loss journey. Putting it on is easy. Taking it off never is.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
AMY
Congratulations! That's great progress (especially in lieu of Valentine's goodies on store shelves). The "package of ham" scenario made me laugh -- and it's true, we have to see a pound to realize how much it really is!
ReplyDeleteYes, it is amazing if you take a pound of meat or butter and put it next to your body it gives you a whole new prespective on what a pound of fat really looks like! One day at a time, one pound at a time! I think you are doing wonderful!
ReplyDeleteBTW: The elliptical is my favorite workout of all time! That and hiking small hills really takes the weight off too!

Oh, this is awesome. It goes along with what our motivational speaker said at the beginning of school. Instead of saying I want to loose 10 lbs., we should say 'I want to loose a pound.' Then it is easier to feel success...and we can go ahead and loose another lb.,etc.! Have a good weekend. Natalie
ReplyDeleteJust think it took you longer than a couple months to put the weight on so it will take a couple months to get it back off! 1 lb is better than nothing! Hope you have a great Sunday. Blessings, Karen
ReplyDeleteI hear you sister! Slow and steady wins the race - apparently!
ReplyDeleteA loss is a loss is a loss! Good for you! And that's a great way to look at it. Keep up the good work!
